Reel ID Contest Winners

We have selected two winners for the Bob White Reel ID contest. Thanks to everyone who entered and guessed. We were overwhelmed by the number of responses; you folks really know your gear.

We are announcing the winner and the right answer in the January/February 2008 issue, which comes out the first week of November.

a comment to you about the reel that won the contest, the Ocean City #35. It is also the JC Higgins #311-3115 reel. The JC Higgins #311-3115 was made by Ocean City for Sears, Roebuck & Co.

PS; my issue just arrived today in the mail.... if you're going to have contests like this, it's not fair to do anything but throw the correct answers in a hat. Some people get their issues sooner, apparently.

I just got the issue - my subscription has run out. Guess I better renew.

It is the Ocean City NO. 35 and has a right hand wind with line guide or steel ring. I still use it.
