Feds aim for further Atlantic salmon protection in Maine

This is very good news for Atlantic salmon and their advocates. These stocks were not listed for political reasons. Now they’ll be listed for scientific reasons. Good management, the ESA and science have prevailed. ESA status for the Downeast stocks was going to “ruin Maine,” according to the little minds that generated big noise. Of course it did no such thing. Let the screaming and hair-tearing begin anew; and let these great fish prosper.
