I've been watching human environmental stupidity for fifty years, and I actually can't think of anything more obviously stupid than letting global ballast water continue to be dumped into the Great Lakes until every aquatic pest species on earth has been introduced. As someone who grew up in Michigan and spent several months living next to Lake St. Clair, where zebra mussels first arrived, I'd not-so-gently suggest to the fish farmers that they GET OFF THEIR BUTTS AND COMPLAIN ABOUT THE LACK OF BALLAST WATER PROHIBITIONS! DUHH!
