Sometimes Catch and Kill Makes Sense

This reminds me of Greenback cutt restoration. After the USFWS and Park Service evacuated the greenbacks and rotenoned the brook-trout infested greenback streams in Rocky Mountain National Park a few of them got re-invested. The feds urged the killing of brook trout, but 80 percent of the brook trout caught were released. Last I heard refusal to kill the aliens was still a problem. Such, alas, is the mindset of some brainwashed fly fishers. However, the following articles -- sent me by my friend Sal who gleaned them from what he called a “wise-use website” -- offer hope. www.tu.org/site/apps/nl/content2.asp?c=7dJEKTNuFmG&b=346355&ct=352228 www.free-press.biz/10-2005/south-fork-shocking-data.html
