Transition talk: Ken you dig it?
The Center for Biological Diversity takes the machine-gun approach in its “environmental” lawsuits, lining up the usual suspects and opening fire. I’m not surprised that it doesn’t like Salazar who has been aptly described by the League of Conservation Voters as “an environmental hero” and who achieved a 100 percent environmental voting record in 2008, as collated by the league. If the center doesn’t like a guy like that, who would it like? Babbitt--one of the few environmental secretaries we’ve ever had and by for the best? No it sued him from hell to breakfast, often preventing his department from doing good work for fish and wildlife. Pretty hard to please the center. In fact, impossible.
