KICKS OFF THE BAUER LECTURE SERIES | | The Friends of Hammonasset host a special Series of Nature related Presentations. The Bauer Lecture Series takes place at St. Andrews Church in Madison each Saturday morning from 10 - 11am during the month of February. Light Refreshments served.
A PLACE CALLED HOPE, a Raptor Rescue, Rehabilitation, and Education Center kicks off the series. Five Birds will be present, sharing biology facts and survival stories. Bring the whole family for this all ages, free event to celebrate Nature and to learn how you can help protect our native wildlife. Join us each Saturday to learn about a different Nature related topic. Cameras a must!
February 5th - Live Birds of Prey with A Place Called Hope February 12th - Live Amphibians with Ranger Russ Miller from Meigs Point Nature Center February 19th - Exotic and Tropical Creatures with the Beardsley Zoo February 26th - Guided Geology and Native American Land Use Hike with Dr. Nick Bellantoni
