We were saddened to learn that Dan Paradis, the founder and president of Loon Outdoors, passed away on March 22. Born in Minnesota in 1943, Dan received a degree in chemistry from the University of Washington and worked in the aerospace industry before founding Loon Outdoors.

Based in Boise, Idaho, Loon manufactures environmentally friendly fly-fishing products such as Aquel flotant, Deep Soft Weight putty and the UV Wader Repair kit.

Loon Outdoors will continue to manufacture product under the guidance of Dan's wife, Tami, and son, Daniel Paradis.
