FR&R reader wins special 30th Anniversary Bamboo Rod
- By: Fly Rod and Reel
The winner of Fly Rod & Reel's 30th Anniversary Fly Rod, a Scott 5-weight SC7105 bamboo rod, is Christopher Jeszenszky; Chris tells us a little about himself:
"I picked up fly fishing when the Army sent me to Bozeman, MT to teach ROTC at Montana State University in 2003. Since then I have fished around the country and the world (wherever the Army sends me): the Missouri in MT, the Firehole in Yellowstone, the Elk River in AR, the Poudre River in CO, the Nissitissit River in MA, the Savannah and Toccoa Rivers in GA, even the Baghdad School of Fly Fishing on Camp Victory Iraq.
"I'm looking forward to fishing the Nagold river in Germany again where the Army leases about 8km of river. I have just been reassigned to Stuttgart Germany. The Nagold will be my home water for the next few years. I'm also looking forward to exploring more European fishing: England, Italy, Slovenia and Norway. But of course my favorite is still the East Gallatin River where I learned.
"The picture is from the Toccoa River during a break from training this summer."
Petri Heil! (German fishing greeting)
